The Crowe

I don’t know how much you need to know about a bird, but you’re reading this, so I might as well tell you some things about me, right?

I started writing when I was 13 years old, which is late for some and early for others. However, I used to Role Play long before that, and some people count that too. At first it was with my sisters, then with online folk. I fell out of love with it . . . I think because I like to have full control over the story.

I got into writing because I kept reading stories, watching movies, playing video games I wasn’t satisfied with. Either the plot was lacking, the characters were lacking, or I got to the end and felt like I’d been robbed. (Don’t even get me started on cliffhanger or non-existent endings!) Back in the day, when I wasn’t as judgy about books and my attention span wasn’t so terrible, I would never drop a book until I finished it. In 9th grade, I read over 100 books in less than 10 months.

But things have changed. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m so busy with a full-time job, my duties at Inked in Gray, and my own writing, but I don’t read nearly as much. And not as much as I should either. It’s one of the reasons I created The Iridescent Book Club, which I want to revive once I catch up on life.

I created this website for the stories, poems, and other musings that I know I’m not going to officially publish.

All feedback is welcome and if you have any suggestions on what you would like to see from me, that’s more than welcome too!
